Laurence Fox's Audi A1 is a good example. After hitting a kerb on Ranscombe Drive near Gornal Athletic Football Club, the car was left with a flat tyre and visible kerb damage to the face of the wheel. When Dan inspected it, he also found a buckle / flat spot on the rear of the rim.
A wheel may look mainly scuffed or scraped after hitting a kerb, but the impact can also distort the inner or rear rim. That is why a proper inspection matters if the tyre has gone flat, the wheel vibrates or the vehicle feels different afterwards.

Laurence Fox had already tried several local tyre companies around Gornal before calling LTC for help. His Audi A1 had suffered more than cosmetic kerb damage — the rear of the alloy wheel had also developed a buckle.

From Kerb Impact in Gornal to Back on the Road
Laurence's repair shows why visible kerb damage should not always be treated as cosmetic. Dan's inspection found structural distortion on the rear of the alloy that also needed repairing.
After trying other local tyre companies, Laurence contacted our Brierley Hill team for help with the flat tyre and damaged wheel.
For this particular job, Dan reached Ranscombe Drive within around 20 minutes and inspected the Audi A1.

Dan removed the wheel, made sure the Audi was safely positioned and transported the wheel approximately 3.8 miles to our workshop.
At Brierley Hill, the old tyre was removed, the rear-rim buckle was straightened and the small kerb-damaged area on the wheel face was repaired at no additional charge.
A new 215/40R17 87W XL Maxxis HP6 tyre was fitted and the complete wheel and tyre assembly was balanced.
Dan returned the repaired wheel to Ranscombe Drive and refitted it to Laurence's Audi A1.
For Laurence's particular repair, the wheel was returned and refitted within around one hour.
Laurence was mobile again within approximately 90 minutes of contacting LTC.
Repairing Rear-Rim Flat Spots After a Kerb Impact

While repairing the structural buckle on the rear of the alloy, our team also repaired the small area of kerb damage on the visible face of Laurence's wheel. There was no additional charge for this part of his specific job.

After being let down elsewhere, Laurence called our Brierley Hill team. Dan attended near Gornal Athletic Football Club, found the rear-rim buckle, collected the wheel, straightened it, repaired the small face damage, fitted a new Maxxis tyre and returned the wheel to the Audi.
“We were in need of an emergency mobile tyre. After getting ripped off high prices we phoned LTC and were given a great price, simple with no hidden costs. Dan arrived fast and was truly amazing. After being really worried that the alloy wheel might have been damaged, Dan inspected everything and took the time to show me and talk me through it, assuring me my wheel was fine, which was a big relief. Brilliant customer service and brilliant all round.”
