Great news! Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 have been crowned “clear test winner” in the 2021 Vi Bilägare Summer Tyre Test.
Swedish automotive magazine, Vi Bilägare, recently undertook a test of eight 225/45 R17 summer tyres, and confirmed the Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 summer tyre as the overall winner with the fastest dry road lap time of all tyres tested.
The Maxxis Premitra HP5 has beaten premium Brand summer tyres from Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli and Michelin to win a 2021 summer tyre test.
Conducted by Swedish motoring magazine Vi Bilägare, testers compared eight tyres designed for everyday driving across branded Tyres in the size 225/45 R17.
The result saw the Maxxis Hp5 tyre narrowly beat quality premium brand products like the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2, the Continental PremiumContact 6, the Michelin Primacy 4, and the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2.

The aquaplaning test demonstrated a noticeable, positive difference between the aquaplaning safety of the Maxxis tyre compared to the other tyres tested. The Premitra 5 achieved 70.2km/h before aquaplaning on a curve, while the next-best tyres in the test lost grip at 68.5km/h or slower.
